Málaga's El Pimpi Crowned Spain's Most Beautiful Restaurant. The beloved and historic Bodega in the capital of the **Costa del Sol**, popular with both tourists and residents, has clinched the top spot in a major holiday portal's ranking, based on glowing customer reviews.

### More Than Just a Menu: The Allure of Atmosphere

When selecting a restaurant, the food is certainly a priority, but it's not the only factor. The ambience, the decor, and the overall style significantly influence a restaurant's clientele. This is why gaining recognition from customers who have praised an establishment's aesthetics is a major accomplishment worth celebrating. This year, that distinction has gone to a restaurant in **Málaga**, which has been rated as the **most beautiful in Spain**.

### The Winner: Bodega El Pimpi

The establishment in question is **Bodega El Pimpi**, a true piece of living history within Málaga city's hospitality sector and a compulsory visit for locals and visitors alike.

Located on Calle Alcazabilla, the iconic restaurant accumulated a remarkable **629 mentions** of the word **'beautiful'** on Tripadvisor. Beyond this key adjective, customer reviews frequently feature words such as **'typical,' 'charming,' 'museum,'** and **'barrels'**. Reviewers also frequently highlight its excellent location, nestled right next to the historic **Alcazaba** fortress and the **Museo Picasso Málaga**.

The ranking, conducted by the travel portal **Holidayguru**, was compiled by analysing all restaurants listed on Tripadvisor.es and tallying the number of times aesthetic words like 'beautiful' appeared in customer reviews.

### A Half-Century of History and Style

**Bodega El Pimpi** is undoubtedly one of Málaga's most classic and historical venues. It first opened its doors on 5 August 1971, and for more than half a century, it has been a landmark for all kinds of visitors.

Its stunning decor is a major draw. The interior is noted for its abundance of natural plants, its historic wooden bar, and the vast collection of vintage photos and decorative tiles that adorn its walls. The most striking and perhaps most iconic image of the city are the enormous **wine barrels**, many of which are autographed, that give the venue its unique character.

### Commitment to Local Quality

El Pimpi's status as a Málagan emblem is due to more than just its decor; the establishment has a deep-seated **commitment to local produce**. As a proud member of the **Sabor a Málaga** promotional brand, the restaurant maintains its own vegetable garden. This ensures it sources fresh produce daily to prepare the numerous signature dishes that form the foundation of its continued success.

The blend of rich history, unique aesthetic appeal, and dedication to authentic, local cuisine solidifies Bodega El Pimpi's position as not just Spain's most beautiful restaurant, but a cornerstone of Málaga's culinary and cultural identity.
